New KAL....

Thanks to Sharon I have joined another KAL. I've been doing felted purses quite a bit this summer so I thought I'd start another one. This looks a little challenging for me, but fun. It's called the b-4 Bag: Bobbles! Beads! Bumps! Buttons! and it looks fun! Check it out!

I'm sure you'll enjoy making the bag. I had never knit a bump, bobble or with beads before and I particularly loved the way the base was shaped. It's really inspired me to add that little bit extra to future projects.

I also liked the fact that it was a change from the usual totes where you knit the base back and forth for 'x' amount of rows and then pick up and knit in the round.

This is a nice bag that's very enjoyable and easy to make.

When you do get round to making the bag, I would recommend loading all the beads onto your wool before starting, and then feeding them up the wool into the knitting as you need them. For me (and I know there have been others) lifting the beads on one by one with a crochet hook was very time consuming. But each to their own!

BTW, there are some posts on my blog about this bag and my experiences making it - if you get the chance, take a look. They're filed under 'Popular Categories' in the left sidebar.

Good luck. Can't wait to see how you get on.

Take care....Bernie
