HELP!
OK, I've decided that I am going to make an afghan (no throws please) for my cousin (more like a brother) and his fiancee for their wedding gift. I have until their wedding on July 21st of next year. I would like to get started and then work a little on it all year long. However, I've perused some patterns and was reaching out for help for you all. Anyone have a great afghan pattern that is lacy, or at least rather intricate? I'm looking for something without cables though. Any ideas? I would really really really enjoy some help here.

I have never made an afghan before, so I am no help at all sorry.
I love the previous pics by the way, I love the cut out window. My kids would love that too, as they often open shops and sell milkshakes etc to each other for rip off prices!!

I have made the baby size and a huge size by increasing my stitches and lengthening it appropriately.
Check out knitpicks 1,2,3 lace project. It's feather and fan, which if you've never done f&f is SO easy and ever so elegant looking. It's 3 rows of stockingette and one row of counting. That makes it an easy leave-it-on-the-end-of-sofa project. The reason why I suggest specifically the Knitpicks is their 1,2,3 is all the same thing. 1 is a (hold on I'm looking it up for you) shawl in sport weight. 2 is an Afghan in their Suri dream (alpaca, wool, nylon) in super bulky weight with big needles ($39.99 total yarn cost). 3 is a scarf in lace weight. The pattern is a free download. I made a shawl in laceweight F&F and it looks Amazing but was very Zen knitting.
And thank you for getting me into the blog world. I met you in Omaha at the MD book signing and your blog & the MD KAL made me finally jump on in. Thanks! It really gives me a sense of community that I was missing on the road.
